Carrington Hobbs
Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Assistant Manager
Carrington has always had a special place in her heart for animals since she was a child. She has worked hands on with animals for the last 3 years and made the move to be closer to home and spend more time with her family by choosing to work here with us at Abingdon Animal Medical Center. She spends her time away from work with her family and caring for her animals at home. Although dogs and cats are her favorite, she has a special love for her farm animals that include several sheep, goats, chickens, and her pet calf “Buckles”.
“Spending time with animals is what makes me happy, animals hold such a special place in my heart and I am so lucky to have a job that brings me so much happiness!”

Makenzi Bible
Part-Time Veterinary Assistant
Makenzi has been working with animals for about 7 years now. “It is the best decision I have ever made. Working with animals is a passion of mine because I enjoy earning their trust and making them feel safe and loved. My family has recently grown with the addition of our daughter, and when I am not working I am at home taking care of her and our two dogs. I love spending time with my family and we all love going to the lake and being outside.” If the chance arises for free time, Makenzi loves to read! Anything from romance to thrillers to fantasy, you can find her with her nose in her kindle!

Her family consists of her Fiancé, their son, Lucas, their daughter Elliana and their four legged children, Lola, whom they rescued as a runt five years ago, and Frankie, their newest addition, from Happy Tails Animal Rescue!
“I will always also mention, my sweet Bella, who has passed, but will always have a big place in my heart, she was rescued from the road many years ago.”
“Working here at AAMC has brought a joy to my life like no other, from the amazing and sweet staff, to the cutest furry friends I get to see and work with! They truly make going to work exciting. I’m never not smiling here! Getting to know the patient’s and boarder’s personalities, taking care of them and playing with these fur babies is extremely rewarding for me. At the end of every day, I’m super thankful I get to be apart of their lives!”
