Dr. O’Hara
Dr. O’Hara grew up in Southern California where from an early age he had a love for animals and medicine. He made the decision to combine those two passions and study veterinary medicine. He attended the University of California San Diego where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience. He then attended Veterinary School at Oregon State University where he graduated in 2012. After receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, he spent five years practicing in Texas.
Dr. O’Hara relocated here to Abingdon, Virginia at the end of 2017 with his wife, son, and dog Davy to complete his dream of owning this veterinary practice in this beautiful town.
Dr. O’Hara and his family fell in love with the region of Southwest Virginia and the charming town of Abingdon. Since living here they have had two new beautiful additions to their family. Maeve was born in the summer of 2018 and Eire was born in the Fall of 2020.
His family now includes his wife Jenny, his son Finn, his two daughters Maeve and Eire, their dog Davy, and the clinic cat Tri-Cos.
